Talent Search

Ever had aspirations of being a star? Wonder what it would feel like to perform on a big stage in front of a crowd of adoring fans? Your chance may be closer than you think. Talent Search 2009 will be held during the 3rd Annual Parsons Peavine Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday, September 19th and is sure to be a hit.

Two divisions will be available to ensure fair competition. The Youth Division will be for ages 17 and under and $50.00 will be awarded to the winner. The Open Division is available to anyone and the winner will receive $50.00.

The Talent Search will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19th with the Youth Division. Talent in all categories will be accepted. Groups are invited to participate. The deadline to enter is September 1st and application forms can be picked up at the Parsons Municipal Building or from Calla Fisher.

This year’s TALENT SEARCH is sponsored by the TEMPLE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST.

Entry fee for Youth Division is $25.00 and Open Division $50.00.

Rules & Regulations:

All contestants must be of amateur status only, no professional contestants will be allowed to enter.

Contestants will perform with their own music. A CD may also be used for vocal entries. Each performance should be less than five minutes. Be prepared to do a second song in case of a tie.

The contest will be open to all ages, two categories will be conducted as follows:
• 17 and under - Cash prize $50.00
• Open Division - Cash prize $75.00

Male and female contestants will be competing together in the same category

Any underage contestants must have signed parental consent to enter the contest.

Vocal, (single or group), instrumental and dance are invited to participate.
